Postgraduate

Currently the postgraduate programs of the Department of Paediatrics, UWO provides training for 30 postgraduate physicians in general paediatrics. 22 of these are graduates of Canadian medical schools while 8 others are from medical schools outside of Canada. During 2009, over 113 applicants applied for CMG Match (6 positions available), 171 applicant for IMG Match (2 positions available). The paediatric postgraduate program is nationally recognized for its success in training sound clinicians with investigative skills in clinical and basic science research.


Department members based at CH, SJHC and in the broader London community, also support the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada (RCPSC) accredited residency training programs in Paediatrics, Paediatric Critical Care Medicine, Neonatal/Perinatal Medicine, Paediatric Emergency Medicine and Clinical Pharmacology. There are a number of international residents in these programs.
