Dr. Simon Levin, Paediatric Neurology
Dr. Levin joined the Department of Paediatrics at Children's Hospital of Western Ontario (CHWO) in 1990. He is an Associate Professor at the University of Western Ontario (UWO) and head of Paediatric Neurology. His research interests include health related quality of life in children with epilepsy and their families and determining causes, clinical presentations and outcomes of birth asphyxia.
He received his medical training at the Godfrey Huggins School of Medicine in Harari, Zimbabwe and graduated in Birmingham. Postgraduate training took him to Birmingham, Edinburg, London in the United Kingdom. He then furthered his paediatric neurology training at McMaster University Medical Centre where he was an Assistant Professor.
He serves on the Board of Directors for the Epilepsy Support Centre and the Canadian Paediatric Surveillance Program Committee. Dr. Levin is currently the Program Director for Paediatrics.
