The Paediatric Critical Care Unit at Children's Hospital is one of only three places in Ontario and one of six in Canada that trains Paediatric Critical Care Physicians and allows for that teaching process. This state-of-the-art unit provides specialized care for children with life-threatening acute illness or organ system failure requiring artificial life support. Recovery from surgeries such as orthopedic, neurosurgical, craniofacial and transplant procedures are also part of the expert care provided.
