Registration, Application and Pre-placement Process
Co-op Teacher Checklist
The following checklist outlines the neccessary steps that a co-op teacher must take to initiate an efficient and effective partnership with the PEL co-op program. These steps must be taken prior to the academic year in which the co-op begins. The dated checklist applies to all school schedules, i.e., semester one, 2 day cycle, term and semester two.

Promotional materials announcing the PEL Information Seminar will be sent to guidance and co-op teachers and current PEL co-op students at the beginning of February. Please promote this event with any student interested in academic, senior co-op in the STEMM disciplines, create a list of interested students and register them with PEL as directed. |

PEL Information Seminar: A presentation outlining PEL co-op placements and academic pathways to careers in the STEMM disciplines. |
| 3 | 2012 MAR 20 |
London Health Research Day PEL co-op students will be invited to this event showcasing health research in our community. |
| 4 | 2012 MAR & APR |
Interview and identify co-op applicants who qualify for PEL. Hand out Pre-PEL Co-op 2nd Interview Process instructions. Conduct a 2nd Interview at an appropriate time to determine specific interests. Complete the Summary of Information from 2nd Interview. |

Collect and edit the PEL Applications. Submit the Summary of Information with the applications to the PEL Director at the time of the PEL Interview. |

Schedule the PEL interview (set date, time and place and invite directors to conduct the interview). |

Oncology Research & Education Day All PEL applicants will be invited to this mandatory event showcasing cancer research in our community. |
