Placement Process
Semester 1/Semester 2 Teacher Checklist

The following checklist outlines the neccessary steps that a co-op teacher must take to initiate an efficient and effective partnership with the PEL co-op program. These steps must be taken during the academic year in which the co-op takes place. The dated checklist applies to all school schedules, i.e., semester one, 2 day cycle, term and semester two.

Mandate attendance and account for absence at the Term 1 PEL Orientation Seminar.

Visit the PEL workplace during the first workplace activity days. Edit and ensure submission of Journal: First Impressions of the Workplace at the end of the first 5 days in the workplace.

OCT
Mandate attendance and account for absence at the mandatory Secondary School Gairdner Event.

DEC
Mandate attendance and account for absence at the Term 2 PEL Orientation Seminar.

JAN
Edit and ensure submission of Journal: Letter of Summative Evaluation in the final days of the course.

FEB
Visit the PEL workplace during the first workplace activity days. Edit and ensure submission of Journal: First Impressions of the Workplace at the end of the first 5 days in the workplace.

JUN
Edit and ensure submission of Journal: Letter of Summative Evaluation in the final days of the course.
