Oncology Research & Education Day is organized by the CIHR-Strategic Training Program in Cancer Research and Technology Transfer (CaRTT) and the Department of Oncology at the University of Western Ontario.

The 4th Annual Oncology Research & Education Day is an all-day event held at:

  • Lamplighter Inn
  • Friday, June 22nd, 2007
  • Oral Presentations begin at 9am
  • Poster Presentations at 3pm
    in the Crystal Ballroom

ABSTRACT SUBMISSION & REGISTRATION

 

Abstract Submission Deadline:
Friday, May 4th, 2007, 12:00pm (noon)

Please keep in mind that we are a diverse group and compose your abstract so that it is easily understandable to clinicians, scientists, and students.

 

REGISTRATION FORMS
WILL ALSO BE AVAILABLE ON-LINE ON APRIL 2ND, 2007

 

POSTER PRESENTATION INFORMATION
Posters MUST be posted prior to the beginning of the first morning oral presentation at 9am. Posters will be affixed to the boards using sticky velcro tabs that will be provided on the day of the event. You will be assigend a poster number which will denote the location of your poster. New Posters must be no larger than 4ft x 4ft. If your poster was used for a previous event and is larger, please indicate this with your submission.

ORAL PRESENTATION INFORMATION
Those selected for oral presentation will be asked to provide their PowerPoint presentation via e-mail and on CD to Laura Groom, by Noon, Friday, June 8th, 2007. This will allow the AV professional to identify potential problems with images, moves, etc. prior to the event. A laser pointer will be provided. The session Moderator will keep all speakers on time (10 minute talk + 5 minutes for questions).

THE VENUE


The Lamplighter Inn is located at 591 Wellington Road South in London, Ontario.

 

For our event, the Crystal Ballroom will be separated into north and south halves with the north section for the oral presentations and the south section for food & beverages and of course the poster presentations and commercial supporter displays. Parking is free.
