Association of African National Olympic Academies establishes African Center for Olympic Studies

The Association of African National Olympic Academies (AANOA), has just realized one of its most important projects, decided at the General Assemblies of Bamako in 2016 and Tunis in 2017: the creation of the African Center for Olympic Studies.

This center, which is the first of its kind on a continental scale, was inaugurated on March 15, 2018 in Yaoundé, Cameroon, under the auspices of the Association of National Olympic Committees of Africa (ANOCA). through an official ceremony chaired by Mr. Ahmed Hashim, Secretary General of ANOCA, in the presence of MM. Zacharie Perevet, Minister of Labor, representing the Government of Cameroon, Hamad Malboum Kalkaba, President of the Cameroon National Olympic and Sports Committee (C NOSC), Konstantinos Georgiadis, Dean of the International Olympic Academy (IOA) and Dr. Ridha Layouni, President of AANOA as well as the members of the Board of Directors of AANOA and CNOSC, several political and sports leaders and representatives of the media. - The main objectives of the ACOS are:
