Reflections on a 50-Year Journey of Hearing Aid Fittings in Infants and Young Children

Dr. Richard Seewald Distinguished Professor EmeritusImproving outcomes through amplification for children with hearing loss is one of the themes participants will explore at an upcoming guest lecture by Richard Seewald, Professor Emeritus, National Centre for Audiology, at the Sound Intuition’s Warren Estabrooks Speaker Series on April 24, 2015.

Seewald will reflect on a 50-year personal journey of hearing aid fitting in infants and young children, and conference participants will be able to identify several factors that must be accounted for in the paediatric hearing aid fitting process, and discuss some of the limitations of the aided audiogram in assessing the adequacy of a hearing aid fitting in infants and young children.

The Sound Intuition’s Warren Estabrooks Speaker Series will run from 8:45 a.m. to 4 p.m. on April 24, 2015 at the Gibson Ballroom of Novotel, Toronto. There is a cost of $275 for those attending the workshops. More information and registration can be found online.
