The program focuses on small group lessons (organized by instrument family) as well as a full band experience. On occasion, students may receive individual instruction. All activities will serve the purpose of strengthening students’ musicianship in a safe and positive environment.
Who can participate?
The program serves to provide supplementary instruction to that provided by the students' school band program. Students who are already studying one of the traditional concert band instruments but may not have the opportunity to participate in a formal ensemble at their school are also welcome to participate. Students who have studied one of these instruments for at least 6 months would be eligible to participate in the program.
