Jay has produced, mixed, and mastered more than 500 tracks in the last 18 months for record labels as far afield as Sierra Leone, Ibiza, Berlin, New York City, and Montreal, with some of his masters topping Beatport’s techno and house charts. He has also provided music for movies featured in Rolling Stone and SPIN Magazine, for documentaries produced by the United Nations and which screened at the United Nations General Assembly, and for institutions such as the YMCA of Canada and Huron College in London, Ontario. His last book, Understanding Records, was recently acquired by the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Reading Room. He teaches songwriting and project paradigm record production in the Popular Music Studies program at Western University in London.
