Celebrated for her warm voice and dramatic immediacy, Canadian soprano Frédérique Vézina has performed with many opera companies including the Canadian Opera Company, Washington National Opera, and the opera companies of Vancouver, Edmonton, Calgary, Victoria and Quebec. She was also invited to perform with the Orchestre Métropolitain, Orchestre Symphonique de Montréal, and Toronto Symphony, among other symphonies. Mrs Vézina has collaborated with such leading conductors as Kent Nagano, Richard Bradshaw, James Conlon, Yannick Nézet-Séguin, Hans Fricke, Bernard Labadie, Jacques Lacombe, and Bramwell Tovey. Her two years spent earning an Artist Diploma at the Juilliard School of Music in New York were an experience of note. Vézina also credits the McGill University Faculty of Music for a uniquely enriching experience during her undergraduate studies. Vézina has been a faculty member at Western University since 2011. She also enjoys teaching at the University of Toronto.
