Allison completed her Bachelor of Music degree in oboe performance at Western University in 2010. She studied primarily with Ian Franklin, principal oboist of Orchestra London and Daniel Stolper at the Interlochen Arts Academy from 2004-2005. She has also studied with internationally renowned oboists having been a participant of several musical institutes in Canada such as the Banff Centre, the Scotia Festival, Windfest and Le Domaine Forget. Allison has performed both as an orchestra member and soloist, and plays regularly with several groups in Southwestern Ontario. She is currently a freelance artist but performs regularly with the Fanshawe Concert Players Orchestra. She has also played with Orchestra London, Symphony Nova Scotia, KW Chamber Orchestra and the Stratford Civic Orchestra. Allison teaches a private studio and regularly teaches oboe and reed making workshops to school students.

Along with her musical interests, Allison is currently completing her Master of Library and Information Science degree at Western University with a specialization in public libraries.
