WEDDINGS AND SOCIAL OCCASIONS

Honouring the Past, Embracing the Future!

Bride and Groom

Hosting your wedding at the Museum would bring a touch of Native Spirituality to your ceremony and reception.

Your ceremony could be held in the bark-covered longhouse or outdoors in the meadow surrounded by a wooden palisade complete with native trees and wildflowers. Plan a sustainable or green wedding ceremony in our environmentally friendly site. Inside the Museum you can decorate with twinkle lights and grapevine and dance the night away surrounded by artefacts and displays of First Nations art.

Invite local Native Dancers, Drummers and Musicians to perform. Reduce your carbon footprint by having your wedding outdoors with a 100 Mile Buffet and locally grown flowers. Invite your guests to a wedding picnic and in the evening you can dance by the light of torches with local musicians. The Village has a wonderful array of photography sites, follow the trails down to Snake Creek and the Medway River through indigenous trees, wildlife, grasses, plants and flowers. This naturalistic setting is in the heart of the City, easily accessible and private. Visit the Museum to see all we have to offer, and decide if it feels right  for you!
