Museum of Ontario Archaeology & Iroquoian Village Site:

The Interpretive Centre is an open space with full-scale wall murals of early First Nations cultures on the walls. The ceilings are high and open and can be decorated with fabric, lights, flowers and grapevines. The displays can be moved to ensure a large central space for a dance or dinner. The smaller rooms and galleries off the main gallery could be used for conversation areas, or quiet rooms. The Theatre which enters into the gallery could be used as a central catering point for a buffet dinner or the bar area. This rental includes use of Theatre/auditorium, Main Gallery, Craft Room, Workshop #1, Gallery #2, and exterior space of nearly 11,000 square feet. The Museum will easily hold up to 500 for a cocktail party or fundraiser.

Main Gallery/Display Gallery:

A large open space, easy to decorate and will easily accommodate 250+ for dinner and up to 500 for a cocktail party. The ceilings are completely open and easy to hang banners and decorations from. The wall murals are decorative but can be covered by drapes to provide a more neutral backdrop. The Museum is rustic and very simple in its design.

Gallery #2/Exhibit Room:

This gallery has a wooden floor and will accommodate up to 50 classroom style or for small dinner meetings. The walls are hung with current First Nations works and the Gallery is open to the main gallery.

Theatre/Auditorium:

Seats up to 125 theatre style, up to 100 classroom style available from 9 am until 4:30, or 4:30 pm to 1:00 am.

Craft Room:

Perfect for hands on workshops and classes the craft room has a cleanup sink and plenty of space for up to 25 participants. The craft room is also available on an hourly basis.

Workshop #1:

This small workshop which will seat approximately 12 is also available for an hourly rental fee, please contact Event Coordinator for details.

Library/Boardroom:

A full boardroom tables and comfortable seating for 12 in the Museum’s library. A full wall of windows runs along the back of the Library with a view of the natural woodlands and Creek at the back of the property.

Iroquoian Village Site:

The large exterior grounds are approximately 11,000 square feet, which can accommodate up to 800 people for a tented event.
