Walk in the footsteps of well known archaeologist Wilfrid Jury!

Be an archaeologist for the day digging alongside archaeologists on a 500 year old prehistoric site. Join an excavation team headed by an archaeologist! Spend a day with our Archaeologist, Dr. Robert Pierce, or one of our guest Archaeologists digging on the Lawson Site. The day starts with a short training session, then out digging on the site, and wrap up your day washing and cataloguing your artifacts!Pre-registration required for digging, $50 per person.
Ongoing
activities throughout the day for all ages - visit the reconstructed
village site, tour the museum, children can participate in a dig site,
or other fun activities, or bring your own artifacts for identification.
No registration required, regular admission rates.

Native Harvest Festival & Pow Wow

Celebrate a weekend of First Nations Culture - Music, Art, Pow Wow Dances and Drums. Friday evening has an outdoor concert featuring First Nations artists to kick off the weekend. Saturday and Sunday experience aboriginal dancing, First Nations Craft and food vendors, cultural workshops, children`s activities, demonstrations and more. The Museum will be one of the many venues that will open its doors to visitors during this weekend. Tour the Museum's gallery and special exhibits, visit the outdoor archaeological village site and participate with archaeologists escavating. Free Admission.
