Wilfrid Jury Archaeology Day
Saturday, July 28th, 2012
The Annual Wilfrid Jury Archaeology Day was held Saturday, July 28th. This year featured many new experiences for visitors and aspiring archaeologists. Visitors of all ages learned to make grids and participated in a simulated archaeological dig. Participants interacted with professional archaeologists and participated in a unique demonstration on archaeological flotation and the archaeology of plants. A flint knapper was on site to demonstrate his skills and visitors even tried their hand at primitive firemaking.
The Museum would like to thank all of its volunteers,
workstudy students, and workshop facilitators:
Darcy Fallon, Rudy Fecteau, and Andy Tonkin.
