The Let's Talk Science Partnership Program at
The University of Western Ontario
Let's Talk Science strives to improve Science literacy through leadership, innovative educational programs, research and advocacy. We motivate and empower youth to use science, technology and engineering to develop critical skills, knowledge and attitudes needed to thrive in our world.
The Let's Talk Science National Partnership Program is committed to bringing the excitement of science to youth in communities that do not have the same level of access to science programming for a variety of factors such as, financial challenges or because they are in more rural or remote locations. The Let's Talk Science Partnership Program at The University of Western Ontario strives to form a unique connection between graduate student volunteers and teachers and their students.
The Western Partnership Program is run by three coordinators: Alysha Croker (senior coordinator), Lori Lowes (teacher partnerships), and Melanie Stuckey (community events). This year we are working hard to increase the quality of the Partnership Program by maintaining a high level of communication between us, the volunteers, teachers and the university. We are also hoping to increase the number of community and social events to keep a high level of participation by our volunteers within the London community.
