SAS Site License

General Information:

  • There is no fee for the SAS software.
  • This license must be renewed on an annual basis.
  • Visit the *NEW* ITS Software Distribution application to renew your license.
  • Current Western faculty, staff, graduate students and undergraduates can install SAS software on Western-owned systems.
  • Professors and instructors (including graduate students) can install SAS on their home/personal computers if it is to be used for Western research and/or class preparation.

System Details:

  • Windows 8 (Jan. 2013): Support availability for all SAS 9.3 products is planned for a future SAS 9.3 revision
  • Windows 7 (32-bit or x64): Home Premium; Professional; Enterprise; or Ultimate
  • Windows Vista (32-bit or x64): Ultimate; Business; or Enterprise
  • Windows XP (32-bit) Pro: recommend MS Windows service pack 2 or higher
  • Windows XP (x64) Pro: refer to http://support.sas.com/kb/16568.html

Installation questions/problems can be resolved by the ITS Help Desk at 519 661-3800 (x83800), however, there is no Statistical software support beyond the installation of the software.

September through April:

Assistance with the Statistical software can be found at the Statistics Help Centre 519 661-2111 (x86307) located in the Western Science Building (WSC 250).
