Trend OfficeScan

Western has recently completed a review of antivirus protection products for campus desktops and servers. This review confirmed that the product used at Western since 2001, Trend Micro’s OfficeScan, is still the best choice for the Western computing environment.

OfficeScan for Mac Installer Package is now available to Macintosh users (support for the Sophos software for Macintosh systems expired on August 31, 2010). For details concerning Western’s implementation of Trend’s OfficeScan software and information on how to obtain the OfficeScan software for faculty and departmental use (for Windows or Macintosh systems) refer to: http://security.uwo.ca/antivirus/index.html

For your Windows or Macintosh home systems, the OfficeScan software is available from the Campus Computer store for a nominal charge.
