Over the past few months, Microsoft Office 365 has enabled a feature called Clutter. Clutter analyzes your email messages and learns which messages you read and which you ignore. Messages you are likely to ignore are moved to the Clutter folder. It learns from your previous behaviour related to similar messages you have received. The more you use it, the more it becomes familiar with your behaviour. You have the control to turn it off and on.
Some Western Office 365 users have expressed concern that important mail is going into Clutter. In response to these concerns and to allow individuals to make the choice to activate clutter or not, we will be setting the default configuration for this feature to ‘OFF’ and resetting all existing users to that default starting midday on Wednesday, April 6, 2016 and finishing by the end of day Friday, April 8, 2016 .
