Most users are trying to save to a folder within their local disk (which is usually assigned the drive letter C:), such as their 'Documents and Settings' folder. However, in MyVLab these local drives are assigned different drive letters than those on your computer. This is what makes finding your local drives difficult. It usually picks a letter starting from the end of the alphabet and moves backwards (Z, Y, etc). One way to easily find the local drive you should be saving to is by looking at the possible drive options you can save to. If you have experienced problems saving or accessing your files when using MyVLab, please read the following…
Recently ITS has received many calls from MyVLab users regarding saving
files while in MyVLab. Please note that you must save your files to your computers hard drive or a USB drive, NOT to the default MyVLab 'My Documents' folder. Also please note that if you normally work in a campus lab where you are provided with a network home folder , typically mapped as H, that this resource is NOT available to you via MyVLab.
