ITRC Student Consultants
ITRC Student Consultants work as part of a team of support specialists responsible for providing advice and assistance to faculty interested in integrating technology into their courses.
ITRC student consultants provide phone and drop-in support to Western faculty and staff. Student consultants also work with faculty members to create technology-enhanced or technology-based online instructional materials. Projects may require the use of images, sound, animation, video, programming and a variety of web-based applications.
Qualifications
- Currently enrolled full-time in an undergraduate program at Western;
- Experience in
- web design;
- the creation of online multimedia including images, sound and video;
- the use of several operating systems and application software;
- good problem solving skills;
- excellent communication skills;
- demonstrated customer service skills;
- the ability to work efficiently and accurately under pressure.
Experience with OWL, Adobe Creative Suite, Final Cut Pro, use of a video camera and video creation software, as well as other multimedia software, and programming is an asset.
