How Do I ... Connect to UWO (Secure) Wireless with a 3G iPhone

Introduction
This document outlines the configuration required for the 3G iPhone to connect to either of Western's two secure wireless networks (eduroam & UWO Secure).
Procedure
Log in to your Western Identity Manager at idm.uwo.ca and synchronize your password. Please wait for 15 minutes for the synchronization to be processed before proceeding to complete the iPhone configurations.
The steps necessary for setting up your 3G iPhone on uwosecure-v2 follow:

Wireless signals in range are displayed. In most areas on campus with wireless coverage, you will find uwo , eduroam and uwosecure-v2

Fig 4. Tap WPA2 Enterprise
Tap Other Network to return to the previous screen
Fig 5. Enter Name as uwosecure-v2
Enter Username and Password as your Western Identity user id and password in the appropriate fields
Fig 6. Tap Join
Fig 7. Tap Accept for the security certificate that is displayed
It will take a few seconds for the acceptance to process
Fig 8 . There should now be a checkmark next to uwosecure-v2 network profile.
This indicates that wireless should now be active.
Congratulations , you are finished!
Testing
Power off the phone and power back on.
Open the Safari web browser
The uwosecure-v2 wireless connection should be in use and you will be directed to your homepage.
Verify by tapping Settings and ensure Wi-Fi is set to uwosecure-v2
