How Do I ... Configure Windows XP Service Pack 2 Firewall to work with Legato NetWorker

Introduction
If you have recently added Windows XP SP2, you will need to configure the XP Firewall to allow connections with Legato NetWorker.
Configuration Steps
Step 1:
The Windows Firewall program is located under the Control Panel ( Start-Control Panel ). You must be logged on with an account that has administrator rights on the workstation. Select Windows Firewall, then select the Exceptions tab.
Step 2:
Click on the Add Program button and Browse to the NetWorker client program (typically C:\Program Files\Legato\nsr\bin\nsrexecd.exe). Make sure you select nsrexecd.exe., NOT nsrexec.exe.
Step 3:
Click on the Change Scope button and select the Custom List option.
Step 4:
Enter the IP addresses of the Legato NetWorker backup servers (separated by a comma): 129.100.2.73,129.100.2.74 and then click OK .
Step 5:
Verify that nsrexecd.exe is in the list of Programs and Services, and the box is checked. Click OK to close the Windows Firewall configuration program. This completes the steps necessary to ensure that Legato NetWorker can access and backup the system.
