How Do I ... Configure Western Directory in Windows Mail



This document will walk you through setting up the Western Directory in Windows mail.

How to configure Western Directory in Windows Mail

Open Windows Mail

Select Tools, then Accounts.

Click Add and select Directory Service. See Fig 1. Click Next.

Select Account Type

Under Internet directory (LDAP) server, enter See Fig 2.

Server Name

Click Next.

Select Yes for Do you want to check addresses using this directory service? Click Next.

Click Finish.

Now highlight and click Properties. See Fig 3.

NOTE: You might want to remove all the default directory services. This will allow the Western directory to be the default and reduce confusion.

Internet Accounts

Change the name to Western Directory. Now click the Advanced Tab.

Under Search Base enter dc=uwo,dc=ca. See Fig 4. Click OK.

Click Close to close the Internet Accounts window.

You’re done! You have configured the Western Directory.
