How Do I ... Install Lightning (Thunderbird Extension)

This procedure will describe how to install the Thunderbird extension Lightning, a proprietary piece of software which happens to come with built in support of the Sun Java Calendar Server. This provides another option to in addition to Western's Calendar Interface, also known as Convergence and the Sun Java Outlook Connector (SJOC).

Resource calendars currently cannot be added/invited to events like you do when using Western's Calendar System. Therefore you will need to follow up with your department for a comprehensive list of resource calendars, at which point you will need to import or manually create them into your Personal Address book.
