Web Content Management at Western

The University of Western Ontario has adopted the use of a Content Management System (CMS), Hannon Hill's Cascade Server, to help manage website content. Cascade Server will help ensure that information is accurate, relevant, current, consistent and shared among websites. The user-friendly interface allows individuals who manage or contribute to websites to create and edit content more easily.  For more information, please visit their company website at http://www.hannonhill.com/products/index.html.

Cascade Server is centrally-supported and is available to any unit interested in using the standard Western look and feel designed and maintained by the Department of Communications and Public.  There is no charge to use this system and ITS will provide training and assistance to any area that wishes to move their web sites into the system.

For more information on how your department can start using Cascade Server, please email its-cascade@uwo.ca.  Members of the CMS team in ITS will meet with you to determine whether or not using Cascade Server is right for your website.

Western provides the best student experience among Canada's leading research-intensive universities.
