Wireless Access Suspended - Suspicious and/or Malicious Wireless Traffic Pattern

Your Western Wireless access has been temporarily suspended due to the detection of suspicious traffic patterns. Network traffic patterns from the device used to access this Western Wireless account match those that are considered suspicious and/or malicious under normal conditions.

As a result, your Western Wireless access has been BLOCKED for a 2 hour period in order to avoid impacting service to other users in the Western Wireless community and to ensure others have fair use of the shared wireless network.

The observed network traffic could be the result of a peer-to-peer application, which degrade wireless networking performance and expose computers to harmful and malicious computer viruses and other security threats. These programs must be turned off before accessing Western's Wireless network.

If you are not running any such P2P applications, the device may be infected with some form of malware that is generating the suspicious network activity – visit Computer Wellness for more information about malware, how to clean up the device, and how to avoid infection in the future.

Once the block has expired, you will be able to reconnect to the Western Wireless network. If the source of the suspicious traffic has not been addressed, access will be blocked again.
