Date: Thursday, November 14
Location: UCC, Room 147 A/B
We are offering three workshops that touch on international themes
Join us to learn about how to promote intercultural competence and global citizenship among your undergraduate students. We will discuss examples from disciplines across campus, from Science and Engineering to Arts and Humanities.
Join this session to find out how you can adapt your teaching style to engage the diverse learners in your classroom. We will discuss common learning styles across different cultures and share strategies you can use to create an inclusive environment for all students.
This session is designed to introduce students to tools and strategies which will aid them in facilitating effective communication in a diverse classroom. By the end of the session, you will be able to identify communication differences that impact student reasoning and participation in class and apply effective strategies for managing discussions to common challenging classroom scenarios.
