This Workshop consists of two half-day (3-4 hours) modules offered roughly a month apart and will require some at home reading and writing of reflection exercises.
Module I of the 2-module program deals with cultural self-awareness and encountering difference. Students are required to submit a short written reflection on their own cultural identity to be submitted (to firstname.lastname@example.org) by February 3rd, 2014. See guidlines below:

Because cultural self-awareness is the foundation of intercultural understanding, students are required to writed a 1-page (250 words) reflection. Students can use the following questions to guide them:

With an understanding of culture and difference established, this session will help students develop intercultural communication skills and identify the obstacles to intercultural relations. There will be pre-module work to complete that will be announced in Module I.
