Category 1: International or Intercultural Courses

Required: 20 Points

Candidates for the Global and Intercultural Engagement Certificate can claim 10 points for every 0.5 credit from the below list of approved courses with a significant global or intercultural component and are required to complete at least 1.0 credit.  Students can claim another 1.0 credits toward the 100 points needed to be awarded the Certificate (students may not claim more than 50 points in a single Category).  Complete the Category 1 Claim Form and return it to International Learning with the other required documentation.  Please keep in mind, the course calendar changes from year to year, and there may be new or changed courses which were not assessed at the time of the calendar audit (in particular, seminars and special topic courses).  Therefore, if there are any courses you have completed you do not see on International Learning’s list of approved courses, but which you think has a significant global or intercultural component, please contact International Learning.
