Arriving at Western University

Students walking around campus

Once you settle in, please report to the International and Exchange Student Centre (Room 2120, Western Student Services Building) to meet with your International Learning Coordinator.

To pay your fees, obtain your student card, and complete the UHIP form, please go to “Student Central” on the main floor of the Western Student Services Building. The Student Development Centre provides helpful guides for students coming to Western as well.

The International and Exchange Student Centre is open Monday – Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Please note that Western University, including the International and Exchange Student Centre, is closed for holidays on the following statutory and university-wide holidays.

Orientation Session

At the beginning of each term, the Western International provides a three-hour orientation for newly-arrived exchange students. The date, time, and location of the orientation will be sent to you via e-mail prior to your arrival. At the orientation you will have the opportunity to meet fellow exchange students and Western students who have just returned from an exchange. We will also provide you with important information about your academic and social experience at Western, as well as a short campus tour. Coffee, tea and snacks will be provided. The International Exchange Program looks forward to welcoming you to Western!
