Training Records on myHuman Resources

Training records for many Health and Safety courses* are centrally maintained on myHuman Resources.
*excludes Biological Safety Cabinets, Transportation of Dangerous Goods and First Aid/CPR Certification.  Contact Mike Mosley x84747 for these record inquiries.

A. Leaders/Managers

You can view training for the individuals in your faculty/business unit via the Training Report on myHuman Resources under Manager’s Home / Report Manager.  For each individual course, reporting options include:

• taken course
• not taken course; or
• report on a specify employee

If the individual has more than one appointment in your selected department, the same training completion data will be returned for each job.

Certain training courses such as WHMIS must be completed every three years.  When reviewing the training records, please refer to the course completion date to determine if the individual’s training is still valid.

Training records are updated by the tenth working day of the month for the prior month’s activity.

Only authorized users are permitted to view the Training Report.  Security access may be requested online via your department/unit administrator or by completing Request for Access to Human Resource Data, Transactions and Reporting.

B. Faculty, staff, students and volunteers

To view or print a summary of your completed courses:

• Sign into myHuman Resources (requires a Western User ID & Password)
• Select Manage Training Registration
• Select Training Summary

How to print a course certificate on webCT

Your supervisor may require proof that you have successfully completed a course.

• Go to:  WebCT OWL
• Select: "The University of Western Ontario"
• Select: "Check Browser" to ensure your web browser settings will function properly.
• Log into WebCT using your Western user ID and password.
• Select the appropriate course
• Select and print the certificate.
