Hiring Students into Western's Work Study Program
Introduction
Starting Fall 2010, the process for hiring students into Western’s Work Study program will be simplified to make it easier, faster and more efficient.
Features at a Glance
- Welcome to CareerCentral
- Posting Work Study jobs and the hiring process will now occur using CareerCentral. CareerCentral is an online recruitment application provided by the Student Success Centre.
- More Interaction with Students
- CareerCentral offers more features to enable a closer interaction with students during the recruitment process. Students can upload their resumes into CareerCentral providing easier and secure access to this information.
- Work Study Student Appointment Notice no longer required
- When the Student is hired in CareerCentral the job and payroll information is automatically setup in the Human Resources system.
Step through the menu on the right for an overview of the major enhancements at each step of the process. More information and detailed instructions on how this process is changing will be available on this website and will be communicated to current Work Study Supervisors and Administrative Officers at a later date.
