document is the joint product of Western's President / Vice-President
Group and the Leadership Advisory Team.
It outlines the values that guide productive behaviours and work
relationships at Western. It also identifies the 'accountabilities'
of employees, along with the added accountabilities of managers
and leaders.
These values
are central to the kind of leadership and work relationships
we are committed to at Western. They form the foundation
of our leader and staff development initiatives and support Western's
efforts to promote relationships of respect in all interactions.
More and
more, these values and accountabilities are taken into account
in the employee recruitment process and, gradually,
will form the basis of staff and leader performance feedback.
