Occupational Hygiene has been defined as the science devoted to the anticipation, recognition, evaluation and control of those environmental factors or stresses arising in or from the workplace, which may cause sickness, impaired health and well-being, or significant discomfort among workers or members of the community.

Occupational Health and Safety offers a range of Occupational Hygiene services to the University Community.


Resolution of Indoor Air Quality Concerns
If you have concerns about poor indoor air quality, here are the steps you need to take to have the situation investigated and resolved.


Noise
Exposure to excessive levels of noise may lead to noise induced hearing loss. This page includes basic information about noise, hearing loss and steps which can be taken to prevent hearing loss.


Designated Substances
