The Financial Educator (TM) (TFE)
The Financial Educator (TM) (TFE) is a comprehensive and interactive website available to assist Western employees at all ages and stages of life with financial planning information and resources. TFE is provided by "The Financial Education Institute of Canada." >> more
TFE includes an e-curriculum in a modular format that allows each employee to learn about topics that matter to them, at their own pace, and from the convenience of their computer. In addition you can access:
- numerous financial calculators to assist you in your financial planning and budgeting;
- resources on how to choose a financial advisor
- new updates under the Current Events section
- comprehensive glossary of financial terms
- and much more!
Access to the TFE is available 24 hours a day for all Western employees and their immediate family.
Employees must first obtain the generic Western username and password by contacting Human Resource Services at
hr-communication@uwo.ca (519) 661-2194 or extension 82194. |
When you log in for the first time you will need the generic Western username and password. You will then be asked to subscribe by providing your name and email address, followed by a prompt to set up your own username and password. Subscribers will then use this new username and password for accessing the system in the future.

TFE does not maintain information about its users, other than to record the number of users that log-on to the site (for internal use only). The Financial Educator (TM) (TFE) is a secure site that does not employ "cookie" technology; numbers and personal information are erased every time the user leaves the site. This requires anyone wishing to retain their own information, to print the page, at time of use, as all user information is deleted upon log-out.
