Postdoctoral Associates - Benefits

As employees, Postdoctoral Associates are eligible for various benefits which are described in further detail under the "Quick Reference" menu on the right.

The first Collective Agreement between the Public Service Alliance of Canada, representing Postdoctoral Associates, and the University of Western Ontario was ratified on October 21, 2011. This new agreement provides a Health Care Spending Account, Optional Life Insurance, Optional Accident Insurance and certain other benefits.

We have distributed an information package which includes a Benefit Application form to the home address of all eligible individuals. Please note, this is a one time opportunity to make an application for the Optional Life and Dependent Insurance plan without providing medical evidence. Future requests for coverage or an increase to coverage will be subject to a medical questionnaire and approval from our carrier.  The deadline to return the Benefit application form is January 13, 2012. If we do not receive completed forms from you by January 13, 2012, we will assume you have waived participation in the life and accident insurance plans.
