The University of Western

several different employee groups, Human Resources manages the
recruitment for most of these groups. Noted below are descriptions
of each employee group. |
PMA (Professional
Managerial Association)
Professional Managerial Association
level positions include administrative positions with professional
and/or managerial status such as Administrative Officers, Lab
Supervisors, Computer Services professionals, etc. |
UWOSA (UWO
Staff Association)
U.W.O. Staff Association level positions
include administrative and technical positions such as Clerks,
Secretaries, Library Assistants, Storeskeepers, Book Sales, etc.
These staff may be employed in faculties, administrative departments,
research units and labs across campus. |
Other Part-Time

There are some part-time positions,
in some cases temporary, which are not represented under any
of
the
specified groups. |
SAGE (Selective
Administrative Group Employees)
The Selective Administrative Group Employees
include staff working in a confidential capacity for Associate
Vice-Presidents, Vice-Presidents, the President, and Human Resources
who are, therefore, excluded from other employee associations/bargaining
unit(s). |
CUPE 2361
(Canadian Union of Public Employees)
These are full-time ongoing positions
in Facilities Management involving trades and the maintenance
and service of buildings and grounds. |
CUPE 2692
(Canadian Union of Public Employees)
This group includes Food Services workers
employed by Hospitality Services at Western such as Cooks, Food
Service Assistants, etc. Anyone interested in part-time Food Services

P.S.A.C. (Public
Services Alliance of Canada) Local 00610
This group represents registered graduate
students employed as Teaching Assistants. |
IUOE (International
Union of Operating Engineers) Local 772
This group includes all stationary engineers
employed at Western through Facilities Management. |
UWOPA (UWO
Police Association)
This group includes Police Officers
employed by the UWO Police Department. The link above will take
