This half-day session is intended to provide practical information to leaders in dealing with mental health issues in the workplace.
Participants will learn effective communication strategies, understand their role in supporting an employee with a mental health condition, discuss the possible challenges of managing performance, and recognize resources available to support the employee and the leader.
This half-day session is for Western leaders who directly supervise and manage the performance of employees, and for Human Resource professionals who advise and support leaders.
Eligible roles include PMA-Eligible leadership roles, Academic and Library leaders, Human Resource professionals, and Union Executive members.
Please note: This session was previously offered as "Mental Health at Western, a Half-Day Session for Supervisors" with registration available in class through the Mental Health First Aid program.
