Guided by: John Hatch, Chair, Visual Arts
Designed by renowned Canadian architect Raymond Moriyama, the John Labatt Visual Arts Centre is one of the few university buildings designed and dedicated entirely to Visual Arts in Canada.
Please join Prof. John Hatch to tour this remarkable facility and see the amazing work it engenders by our students and faculty.
The interior was designed to allow as much natural light as possible to best showcase the exceptional work of our undergraduate and graduate studio students, and nurture the studies of our art history and curatorial studies students. The building houses print, painting, drawing, photo (analog and digital), sculpture, and multi-media studios, as well as seminar rooms and a lecture hall. There is also a dedicated exhibition space, a digital resource library, a fully equipped wood and metal shop, and the Cohen Common Space and Lab featuring 3-D printers and 3-D drawing tools.
Meeting Location: Front lobby of Visual Arts building
