University Community Centre (UCC), room 146

Career success results from taking a conscious, planful approach to proactively managing your career – and it begins with understanding who you are right now and where you want to go.

In this session, Day Merrill and Michael Locey discuss strategic career management while walking you through a series of questions that motivate both self-reflection and action planning. You will be encouraged to reflect on your interests, skills and values; consider your goals; learn about the importance of building a network and a career identity; and discuss the role of research in career management.  You will hear helpful strategies, and leave motivated to commit to a game plan to achieve your definition of career success and satisfaction.

The presenters and members of Western Human Resources will be available after each session to answer individual questions.
