- Furnished suites with four single bedrooms, two bathrooms, common area, and a servery
area complete with a microwave oven, stove top and refrigerator
- Each suite has its own heat/air conditioning unit, TV cable, intercom
- Each floor features lounges, study rooms and laundry rooms
- Music/piano practice rooms are available
- Large common area with big-screen TV is on the main floor
- Vending area, fitness room are available
- The dining hall offers eat-in and take-out menu selections
- Smaller mandatory meal plan is offered
- Features barrier-free access and some specially designed suites
- Patio/courtyard and covered bicycle storage area are provided
Specific Move-in
Instructions for Essex Hall
- Move-in day for Essex Hall residents is Sunday, September
2, 2001.
- Please approach Essex Hall by driving north on Western
Road (note: Wharncliffe Road becomes Western Road just
north of Oxford Street).
- Essex Hall is on your right-hand side as you approach
the intersection of Western Road and Sarnia Road.
- You may drive your vehicle into the Essex Hall traffic
circle when a vacant space is available.
- To unload, park your vehicle along the right-hand side
of the Essex Hall traffic circle - do not park on the
left-hand side.
- With your permission, residence staff will tag your
personal belongings with your room number and then move
them to your room.
- Once your vehicle is unloaded, please move it to the
Huron Flats parking lot.
- Please do not abandon your vehicle in the traffic circle.
- Check-in will take place in the Common Room on the ground
floor.
