Up to 17 weeks.
Begins before (no more than 17 weeks before), on, or after termination date of pregnancy.
Ends no more than 17 weeks after termination date of pregnancy, or at end of contract, whichever is sooner.
If medical certificate required, Employer must pay.
Notify your departmental designate at least 4 weeks in advance of intial date of pregnancy leave.
Lesser period of notification is fine with a valid reason.
Paid if, TA has been an employee for at least one term
1st two weeks: 100% of pay; remaining 15 weeks: 55% of pay. Refer to Article 20 in the Collective Agreement for information on more leaves.
