All other students who have not completed 12U French must take the placement
test prior to enrolling in any French course. The placement test is an online assessment, with an average completion time
of 50 minutes. Once the test has been completed, please press the "Grade Me"
button and wait for your Results page. Ensure to fill in the Name, UWO
student number and email address boxes so that your results can be added to your
record. Please note that this test may be taken online from any computer with
internet access. First year students
have the opportunity to write the test during Summer Academic Orientation. Please allow 48 hours for your score to be posted on your record, prior to
calling the registrar's office to enroll. Please note that students using Mac computers to complete the
Placement Test have been experiencing difficulties in getting their
score. If
you are using a Mac please ensure that you are using the Firefox or Google Chrome and NOT the Safari browser on the

Students who have taken 12U French should enroll directly in French
1900E or French 1910 and DO NOT have to take this placement test.
Please note that any student having already completed grade 12 French may take
the placement test in order to be placed in a higher French course.
