A licence to practice physical therapy in Canada is required in all provinces and territories. Upon successful completion of the Master of Physical Therapy program at The University of Western Ontario, graduates may apply to the Canadian Alliance of Physiotherapy Regulators to take the Physiotherapy Competence Examination. Most provinces in Canada require that all applicants for licensure have passed this examination, which includes both written and clinical components. However, graduates are advised that each individual provincial or territorial College needs to be contacted for their specific requirements. Up-to-date information on the regulations governing the profession in Ontario may be obtained from: The College of Physiotherapists of Ontario Licensing - MPT Professional Program
