Western's School of Physical Therapy offers four different graduate programs that help students meet their academic goals:

Advanced Health Care Practice (MClSc)

  • One-year course-based master's program
  • Only program of its kind in Canada that offers advanced training in a clinical specialty
  • Two distinct fields of study:
  • Manipulative Therapy
  • Wound Healing

Master of Physical Therapy (MPT)

  • Two-Year entry-to-practice professional program
  • Accredited by Physiotherapy Education Accreditation Canada (PEAC)
  • Prepares students for roles as clinicians, educators, consultants and researchers in a variety of practice settings

Combined Master of Physical Therapy/Doctor of Philosophy (MPT/PhD)

  • Five-year combined program
  • Provides the educational requirements for licensure to practice PT, concurrent with the academic training to research a related topic

Master of Science (MSc) And Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) - Physical Therapy

Part-Time Studies

Be advised that all students must be registed as full-time students in the School of Physical Therapy. Part-time studies are not available at this time.
