In order to practise as an occupational therapist in Canada, you must be registered by a provincial regulatory body. In Ontario, the practice of occupational therapy is regulated by the College of Occupational Therapists of Ontario (COTO). Graduating therapists are required to successfully complete a national examination through the Canadian Association of Occupational Therapists (CAOT) before they can be registered.
