The Master of Nursing (Primary Health Care Nursing Practice) program (MN-PHC-NP) program utilizes a combination of on-site and distance learning and offers full- and part-time options in collaboration with a consortium of Ontario universities.

MN-PHC-NP Program Options

Full Program:

  • For BScN prepared nurses seeking a graduate degree focused on advanced nursing practice
  • This option is offered for both full- and part-time students, with full-time applicants given preference
  • Normal time of completion is 18 months for full-time students and three to four years for part-time students
  • Program curriculum

PHC-NP Certificate:

  • For nurses with a graduate degree seeking an NP certificate
  • Graduates who obtain an PHC-NP certificate without the MN graduate degree are eligible to write the CNPE licensing exam
  • Normal time of completion is 12 months
