Judith Wuest, RN, PhD is a Professor and Canadian Institutes of Health Research/UNB Investigator at the University of New Brunswick, Faculty of Nursing in Fredericton, New Brunswick. 

Areas of expertise:

She has been studying intimate partner violence for 16 years, particularly processes of leaving abusive partners, health promotion in families after leaving, socio-cultural influences on the meaning of and responses to woman abuse, and processes of achieving non-violence in relationships.  She also is interested in how past relationship with care recipients influences the health of female caregivers of adult family members.  Her methodological expertise is grounded theory from a feminist perspective.

Position on team:

Judith Wuest is the designated Principal Investigator for the New Brunswick site of the health effects study.
